Ok, I am a city girl who inherited these birds. I am not certain of breed or sex. One bird I know is a hen and laying but the three pictured are young not laying yet and not certain sex or breed. Any ideas?

First photo looks like a male to me. I think the two behind him are the same females that are in the third picture.

Second photo I think also looks like a male, although it's a bit hard to tell (fuzzy--a common problem with chickens that refuse to stand still!)

Third photo appears to have two females.

Thanks, Thats what I was thinking. The black birds look to be jersey giant cross maybe. Here is three better ones of the fuzzy pic, this one has me confused, not as pronounced as the other one

I think I see pointy saddle feathers in the third picture.
Pointy saddle feathers only grow on roosters, so he's a male.

Based on the combs, I was wondering if those cockerels might have some Wyandotte in them. But there are so many other possibilities I can't be sure.
