We are having a "dream coop" built. I'd like for it to house about 12-20 standard hens. The layout is similar to what I have now, but a little bigger interior space and adding storage area.
I just quickly threw some rectangles together with all the features I need and this is what came out. I want a covered porch area for myself sot hat I can collect eggs, tend to girls out of the rain. I want a interior big enough that I can roost 12-20 birds, have space for a ladder to roosts but not so big that they can't warm up the space in the winter. I need a covered run area with a floor for their feeding station and a place for them to hang out in bad weather. I'd like a storage area as well as a small grow out coop. I was thinking that storage area/grow out coop would be one room, just basically pen off the end and have shelves above it.
There will be an electric fence pasture the chickens access by the chicken door at back left corner.
