Long story short, a 1in thick concrete paver/block was topple by accident and fell on one of my guinea keets. He(or she, but I'll use "he" to make it easier) is now no longer in shock and eating/drinking as usual, but is hobbling around looking extremely sore. I think I should limit his movement, as he is obviously hurting. He is sleeping now, and so I've decided to not do anything right now, but I'm considering wrapping him firmly in a towel all day tomorrow, so he can't strain his body. Would this be a good idea? I'll leave water and food in his reach, he was eating just fine earlier, all wrapped up, but I'm not sure whether I can do this for an extended time.

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Guinea Fowl/ 4 weeks/ not weighed

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Was originally fairly lame, and in shock after the incident
Now limps/hobbles around, but still trying to forage

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
8 hours

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
Nothing external, moving as if it's extremely sore.
Haven't check for bruising as I don't want him to injure himself when struggling, he doesn't like being handled...

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Family member accidentally knocked over a concrete block (the thinner ones) and it fell on the poor Keet.

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Poultry starter 24% protein. White millet (very little, as treat). Water with a little bit of sugar, salt and baking powder (DIY electrolyte)

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Powdery as per usual

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
I wrapped him in a blanket for the first 2 hours. after which he was less stunned and started looking for food.
The I put him in a separate bin with a smaller calm pullet as he was chirping for company.

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I want to treat him myself.

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
I can get a photo tomorrow, but now the keet is resting, and I think it's best he moves around as little as possible

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
large plastic tub. lined with hay/ and two small towels for warmth and comfort.

I'm considering wrapping him firmly in a towel all day tomorrow, so he can't strain his body. Would this be a good idea?
Not a good idea. It will move on its own as it needs to.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.

Not the appropriate feed for keets. Keets should have a turkey or game bird starter. It will have the higher concentrations of lysine, methionine, niacin and protein that keets need for proper development. I feed my keets a 28% protein turkey or game bird starter.

Toss the water mixture that you are using. Give plain water or a solution of vitamin B complex made by dissolving 1/2 capsule or tablet in one gallon of water. It should be the only source of water and it should be made fresh daily. It will be good for all of your keets.

Understood.
What would you recommendation be for tomorrow, do I just let him forage with the flock as per usual tomorrow...?

just let him do his thing he knows how far to push his body just like we do when we are injured keep an eye on him if he is eating and drinking and walking around (even with a limp) he will probably be just fine

I put him outside today with the flock today once the sky cleared up, he's still limping, but otherwise is acting normal. He's definitely little more skittish than usual and hangs back a bit when they all come rushing in for the treats. Fingers crossed!
