Hello,
Four weeks ago I inherited 3 bantams. Two hens, one rooster. I’ve raised chickens but not bantams. Three days ago we noticed she was not putting weight on her right leg and using her wing to steady herself. There are no visible injuries and I don’t see any swelling. If I had to guess I’d say it’s an injury between the thigh and the hock, and perhaps happened when she came off the rooster in the run.
I’ve been soaking the leg in ACV and keeping her inside and isolated from the other chickens so they don’t pick on her. She’s not eating or drinking much and her comb is darkening (similar look to frostbite). I took her outside to give her a chance to eat and get fresh air and when she pooped there were live white worms in it. This is the first day I’ve seen anything strange with her poop and now I’m freaking out.
I don’t know if her “injury” is actually illness because of the worms?? Any advice is great appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome To BYC

Do you have photos of her, her poop and her leg?

What did the worms look like (anything like photos below)?

I'm not sure if I'd soak in Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). If there's swelling of the leg, I'd use Epsom Salts instead.

How old is she? Does she lay eggs?
