Late update - but here is Momma Hen all healed up and back with her girls. She lived as a house chicken from October - March where she transitioned to the closed in porch and daily field trips to my chicken tractor to re-adjust to being outside and back with the other hens. She decided the day she was ready and freely left the enclosed tractor (I had left the door open) and reclaimed her spot as head hen. She is the best lookout and definitely the matriarch, and she’s laying again!!
