So walking out to the pullets coop we realized one of our 5 month of females had be hiding under a piece of wood. I moved my hand close to her and she didn't move, normally she would run. Back story they had been out in the yard a few hrs before realizing she was injured and we do have cats, and we like to call our pullets forest chickens as they tend to go into the land beside ours that is very grown up .. Anyways I realize when I picked her up she had blood on her head body, her comb, and coming from her mouth, along with some gurgling . So we took baby roo and the other pullet out so she could be alone. Fast forward an hr or so. Regular breathing I can't see blood in the mouth. But she still isn't moving much.
Picture shows gash on the head. Only visible cut without bothering her to much . Should we leave her be with food and water close by or being her in? Any ideas what could have happened.

Bring her in. Put her in a warm, dark, quiet place for the night. A dog crate works well. In the morning offer her some food and water.

I had one similar to yours, where she was attacked by a hawk, had external injuries, but also has bloody discharge from the mouth. After being brought inside, into a warm/quiet area her condition rapidly improved, and the bloody mucous subsided. Hopefully, that be the case with your bird.

Update...

So we went back out to check her before dark to see if she needed to be brought in and she had jumped up to roost. seems she's doing fine as of now. Will update again in the morning .
