My German Shepherd quickly bit my 2 1/2 week chick. I didn't know this happened until when checking on it for bedtime I saw blood on its vent. My 4 year old had accidentally let the dog get to the chick, then didn't tell me.
So now- not a lot of blood what is there is watery, but the vent looks open and there's a bit of air with each chirp, sometimes a bubble or fluid.
She's walking around, drinking, and eating.
I'm worried because of losing a duckling to the sane type of injury last year, but that was a pit bull who meant to eat it, this is a GSD that thought she was playing and probably let go fast.
It's isolated right now.
