I don’t know if this matters but Mira can’t preen.

Yeah I thought so.It might be because of the scab on her neck.
Some of you might know about my baby Mira who got hurt on her neck. She was doing well and we went away yesterday morning and just came home and she can’t walk right. I’m not sure if she was eating or drinking but she had plenty of water and food and the temperature seemed fine. I gave her some wet oatmeal, egg yoke and dripped some water on her beak since she won’t drink by herself. She walks backwards and she almost seems hunched over I’ll try to post a video and I will grab some pictures. Do baby chicks who are by themselves get lonely and stop eating and drinking if they think they are abandoned?![]()
Is she able to eat chick starter?I gave her some wet oatmeal, egg yoke and dripped some water on her beak since she won’t drink by herself. She walks backwards and she almost seems hunched
Yeah I have been wetting it but I’ve never used this food before and I think she is picking out the little pieces of corn. I am about to pick up the chick starter I raised most of my chicks on. I’m not sure how much she has been eating. Is she able to eat chick starter?
A mixed loose feed like that, sometimes chicks will pick out just pieces they like. She would need grit (crushed granite) available free choice for a feed like that too.Yeah I have been wetting it but I’ve never used this food before and I think she is picking out the little pieces of corn.
