Injured Chick Turning Yellow

So sorry for your loss. It is good that she is not suffering. When I lose a hen, I usually will do a necropsy at home, where I open the abdominal cavity and look at the organs for anything unusual. If you do one, take pictures of the organs to post here. Your state vet lab may also do a professional necropsy if you keep the body cold until Monday.

It didn’t stand out as being yellowish to me, but actually I checked on her right after I replied to your last message and she seemed to have declined dramatically overnight - it was immediately apparent that she wasn’t going to survive the weekend, likely even the day. She didn’t even open her eyes or peep at me when I touched her so I euthanized her this morning. I really hate this part of being a chicken keeper 💔
I’m very sorry ☹️

So sorry for your loss. Such a tragedy. :hugs
Another possibility for yellow-white skin is severe anemia. There is a point that when blood loss is profound ( upward of ~70%) there becomes a lack of cyanosis (bluish coloring), due to so few red blood cells, so the skin will look pale yellow. My experience is in human caucasians but the physiologic concept of blood/oxygen carrying is the same.
