Hi all—
New chicken owner here. I have 4 buff Orpingtons that are around 6-7 weeks old now. A few days ago, I noticed one of the hens was sitting a lot and whenever she tried to stand she would fall backwards or stumble. She can walk. If I hold treats she will walk to me but then loses balance and sits when she tries to stop walking. Maybe an injury that wasn’t healing because the others would bump her and knock her down. She is now separated and I am hoping she can recover. Has anyone ever experienced this?

There is no visible damage to her foot or leg… again I’m new to chickens so maybe I’m not looking for the right thing. I have attached a photo of her, she sits like this most of the day

I actually see a lot of posts about a similar condition. Almost certainly sounds like vitamin deficiency. She is the smallest of the bunch and didn’t feather out as well as the others. I will try vitamins!

She was starting to look a little bit better today. Walking to her food and looking overall more energetic. But then I just checked the brooder cam and she’s laying a little odd. Is this a regular chicken laying position? With the leg sticking out
