So I had 6 1-year-old chickens and they had gotten attacked by a dog. Two of them the dog took and 1 of them I found him with. I thought she was not going to make it but decided to give her a chance. She was covered in mud so I had to rinse her to see if she had any wounds (luckily she did not). She did loose feathers and has bruises on her. I wrapped her in a towel because the power went out after the storm and I could not dry her off. Then went to bed since there was nothing I could do with the power out, and woke up to check her. I thought she was dead until I saw her slightly breathing and went to give her a warm bath and she is much better than when I found her. My question is, what else can I do to help her recover before it is too late? :hit

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses and this poor girl here :hugs

It sounds like she is in shock. Bruising, she must have been squeezed so she might have internal injuries.
Is your power back on? I would try to get her warm, a heating pad set on low under a thick towel may help. Hot water bottle, something like that.

See if you can get some fluids into her. Sugar water, gatorade or electrolytes would be good.
I would not worry with food right now, just see about getting some fluids into her.

Once she seems stable and more alert, I would gently check to make sure there's no wound that were missed and hidden under the feathers. If you find any, flush those out and put some triple antibiotic ointment on them.

I hope she pulls through, keep us posted.

The power is back and thoroughly checked her and found no wounds. It sounds like she is snoring, that isn't normal is it?
Glad your power is back on.
Is she panting or is the sound nasally? You got a video of how she sounds? Upload to youtube and provide a link.

Snoring I would say is not normal, but if she was squeezed, then she may have some internal injuries or bruised air sacs.
Is she alert? Will she drink for you?

She won't do it, and she is in the same condition as she was in the morning. I might put her to sleep so she won't suffer anymore.
