Last fall a dog got into my chicken coop and destroyed 8 of my 10 chickens. The 2 remaining are the rooster and a hen. The hen was injured quite severely. We have been nursing her back to health and feel it is time to move on. We got more chickens and they will not accept her. We are forced to keep her seperate from the rest of the flock. What can we do, if anything, to get the other chickens to accept her?

I agree with the cage within your coop idea. That would be my first choice. What I did with my injured chicken when the others didn't want to let her back in, was I kept her in a cage in my garage, and then a couple times a day would supervise "play dates" with her and my other chickens. When they would come at her I'd shoo them away etc... I've also heard reintroducing the rejected chicken at night when it is dark and then they wake up next to her, and think "oh, she must have been here all along!". Good luck.
