Dog got ahold of 10 week old Dominique. Injury occured 30 min ago. No blood. Legs work fine. She doesn't want to move, and is laying on her side. Separated her from others. Don't know if there are broken bones or internal injuries. Now what?

Bring her inside wrap in a towel since she may be in shock. Hold her or put her in a dog crate. Let her rest. If she is still okay after an hour or two, try to get her to drink some waterby dippping her beak if you have to, and add some food. Look her over very well to make sure you are not missing any wounds or bleeding. Interneal injuries may have occurred. There's not a whole lot you can do other than supportive treatment. I had 3 pullets over a couple of months that had gotten into my yard, chased and "played with" by my dog. Two had feathers missing and made it, while the one with the lest injuries died within an hour. I hope she makes it, but they are so vulnerable at that age. I don't like shock collars, but we purchased one after the third pullet to teach him that chickens will hurt you, and he does not bother any chicken that comes into our yard now.

Well, we wrapped her in a towel and placed her in a crate with food and water. I tried to entice her to eat and drink, but she refused. She just laid on her side and wouldn't move. Things started to look even worse when she began to poop pure white liquid. My daughter was beside herself, these are her babies. My daughter and I prayed over her little chick and we went to bed. I checked on her a few times during the night, still no change. This morning we witnessed a miracle. She was "Up and At Em", eating, drinking, cooing and pooping. Praise God!!!
