Injured chicken

My dog attacked my black austrolorp aka (Blackie). Blackie has a lot of feathers gone and lots of open wounds on her back. My neighbor who is a vet tech treated her by washing out the wounds with saline and gave tylan for any infection according to his doctor friend that treats birds. I've also separated Blackie from the flock. My question is do I wait until she is completely healed from the wounds or just until scabs form on her back? I know she won't grow her feathers back until she molts again. Please help I tried to search this from but no luck.
