Injured comb has turned black and hanging in the way

A skunk attacked one of my chickens and chewed on her comb. the wound has healed but the comb is dangling, in the way of her beak and looks heavy. Part of it has turned black, hard and sort of like a scab. It doesn’t seem to be a significant issue, but wonder what I should do with the “dead” part of the comb.
Any suggestions/feedback would be great.

Can you get some shots of the other side and from the front? Can she open her beak? Is she able to eat and drink okay? Is there any way a vet is possible? I am going to tag @azygous in case she has seen something like this.

Thank you!! She can easily open her beak and eats and drinks without issue, the comb mostly seems to be bothersome…in the way, flopping/dangling around.
Mostly wondering if I should try to remove the “dead” part…I don’t think it’s causing more injury at the base of her comb, but it seems heavy and that it would be ideal to NOT have it there.
I will try to get more pics and video.

The dead part will eventually self amputate eventually. I am always a bit afraid to advise someone to trim off tissue that is necrotic (dead,) but if you go that route, disinfect the area with chlorhexidene (Hibiclens) 1/2 with water, and rinse off. Betadine is also good to use. You may receive other advice from BYC members, to help you make your own decision.

I would remove the necrotic tissue to within 1/4" of the healthy comb.
