Injured Comb, or something else?

I’ve seen my share of pecked comb injuries, but none quite like this - wanted to check in with my chicken community & make sure I’m not missing something.

Just shy of being 6 years old, this gal is one of five senior citizens. She’s 3/5 on pecking order, even though she’s my heaviest hen.

Seemingly fine, other than her bruised comb. Just happened this evening. Feels like there’s a decent amount of fluid building up in there. Any thoughts or opinions?

In the first picture, it looks like there is something black on the feathers. Could she have gotten into something that colored her comb, or bruised it on wire fencing, maybe while being chased?

I cannot see the picture of your poster on your other thread. Can you post it on BYC? The chicken above does not have any signs that look like fowl pox to me. Here is a good link about fowl pox and how it looks:

Update: Almost 3 months later, and it has stayed fairly consistent in size & color. I thought black color looked worse today but after reviewing OG pics, seems similar. Makes me lean less towards injury, more towards considering if tumor?

@Eggcessive I think her white feathers just show how much she loves foraging
