So Max has somehow ripped or broke his toe nail off. Online said to soak in alum and cold water so i did that, after cornstarch thinking maybe its like when you cut a dogs nail too short. I cant figure out where or how he did this but do yall have any suggestions? We were able to catch him,Ruby was not happy about that at all she was quacking so loud the neighbors yelled for her to shut up, and put a gauze bandage but idk how long thats really going to stay on or if it will stop bleeding or what? He is walking on it and he ate his dinner and peas.

My pekin ripped her back nail off about 6 months ago. I was so worried. It bled, but once that stopped she was fine. Confession - I haven't even looked to see if it grew back. I wouldn't worry too much - just clean it!
Thank you ...I am freaking out , that helps to hear though :)

It's better to use styptic powder then corn starch, as corn starch can increase bacteria growth. Just apply pressure to the wound with a damp cloth until it stops bleeding, then just put some Neosporin or a poultry Antibacterial spray on the wound every few days to make sure it doesn't get infected. I don't think you'll need the bandage on,but I guess she's going to take it off by morning anyways.
