Injured duck won’t quack or eat

She has been on antibiotics, yes? That also can ruin their appetite. There could be more going on, sometimes more than one thing is wrong. I would take her to a vet. And start giving probiotics. Keeping her warm and dry and safe, try offering some treats. Sometimes ducks need to be tube fed. It can be a little tricky if you have never done it. casportpony has a thread on Team Tubefeeding you can find it in the archives. @casportpony
Sitting in vet waiting room right now. She has been off the antibiotics for at least three days now. But right now she is hyperventilating in the vet office Bc she is surrounded by dogs. Any tips on how to calm her down?

Tell you want to go wait for the vet in the restroom? Or take her back out to your car if she'll be more relaxed in there.

How is she?
Took her to the vet at about 8:45 last night and was there until 1 am. A vet I had seen for the dog bite had prescribed amoxicillin which is apparently pretty bad for birds. New vet put me on different anti biotic and told me to get her on a probiotic. She is acting more alert today- actually wanted to play in the hose when I was cleaning her cage out. Still not eating like she used to but ate a few peach slices this Morning. Im not nearly as worried as I was last night :)

Thank you so much for your help. I will research tube feeding and start doing that if she doesn’t start eating today. :)
