My duck was attacked 2 nights ago. She is alive but has a pretty bad wound on her neck close to her wings. Looks like it came from behind I I have cleaned the wound with iodine talked to a vet and isolated her from the flock since yesterday as I didn’t want her to be totally traumatized. She is drinking water but doesn’t want to seem to eat. Not even pees. What should I do? Please help me help my girl I love her so much me and my family are so upset this happened.

Can you post a picture of the wound?

You could make an electrolyte solution, 1 cup water with 1teaspoon sugar, 1 pinch of table salt and 1 pinch of baking soda mixed in.

She might prefer soft foods for a neck injury. I don't have ducks so I'm not sure what they like. For chickens scrambled egg is usually a big hit as well as canned cat food.

I'm assuming you could also give a duck a low dose 81mg aspirin for pain. I know when I've had an injured hen that is in pain they rarely want to eat.

It’s difficult to see. I have to have someone bend her necks to see it better a lot of that is missing feathers as they are very thick which probably helped save her life. May seem silly but how do you give the aspirin? Thanks for your help!

Open her beak with your thumb nail and using your other hand put it in as far back as you can
One trick I use with chickens is to hide meds in a piece of bread. So if she likes bread you can try that.
