Injured duck

Hi, I finally had to jump into the lake and get her. Her eyes and head are messed up again. she lost a lot of feathers on her back and under her wings. My concern is a form of hard blister on her back. Not sure what this is, any idea? Thank you

:hugsPoor girl! I'm glad you were able to grab her.

For her eye, I think all you can do is try treating it like you did before.

Where is the lump located, can you get a photo that shows the context of the location on her back? It may be a feather cyst, but hopefully others will chime in.

Thank you! I need to find a good home for her, I can't return her to the lake and I can't risk taking her in my backyard again. Any idea?

Hello, her head and eyes completely healed, she is missing feather on her head and losing a lot of feathers. I am not sure if this is due to stress or molting. My concern is her left leg. she can swim and she can jump out of the bathtub, but she can't walk, and she try not to put weight on the left leg. I have been trying to add Durvet B Complex to scrambled eggs and meal-worm, but she doesn't eat it. any advice on how to help her with her leg? I know she is stressed and she wants to go back to the lake, but there is not even one female duck left in our lake, there are 11 drakes and I am worried they might kill her. I placed tree net all around my backyard fence and I am buying a female duck to keep her company and let her go out during the day. I am not sure if this is the right thing to do for her. He boyfriend is still around, moved to the other lake, I feed him everyday. do you think I should release her where the boyfriend is? or keep her? any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you

So glad she's healing up!
She may be molting, or it could be stress, but make sure she's getting enough protein.
Try putting the B Complex in wetted food and see if she'll eat it. If she won't, you may have to use a syringe and force it into her.
I wonder if she could have a niacin deficiency, and that's causing her leg issue, especially since she seems to be a Pekin. Make sure she's resting too.
I wouldn't release her, as she's a domesticated duck and may not get all the nutrients she needs, and because there are way too many males around.
