I have a young gosling that got stepped on by our feeder calf while I was trying to move him from place to another. The gosling has a limp. Is swollen noticeably between toes. Still gets around even though labored. I felt for broken bones but there don't seem to be any. How do I fix the foot? Almost looks like a blood blister. I can get pics in the morning.

Poor little guy!

A soak in Epsom salts will help take the swelling down. Don't let him drink the water though because Epsom salts are a laxative.

Beyond that, maybe a bit of neosporin without pain relief on the blister and some time to rest and heal. A picture is a good idea, too.

I will definitely try the Epsom salts. He's still young enough that he's easy to catch. I'll get a pic up in the morning. It's 2am here now.

These are the pics. The skin is very tight.

Ouch!! Blood blister for sure, you might have to drain that... I know I've seen similar accidents on dogs ears and other thin skin surfaces at the vet clinic. Large bore needle or scalpel, then keeping the wound clean as it heals.
