My neighbors dog injured one of my hens. she was bleeding on her back but was walking around and appeared to be ok. when i found her i tried to pick her up and check her out but could not. my rooster then attacked her. i finaly got her in the coop and built a seperate area for her to rest and be apart from the others.
This morning she was dead
I want to know for the future was there somthing i could have done for her? did she bleed to death... i found no blood except for the spot around the wound on her back. Why did the rooster attack her?
