injured Hen

I have a injured Hen that is being pecked by the others and has made an open wound on her backside. Not sure what to do.

seperate her from the rest of the flock or they will peck at the wound making it worse. clean her up, apply blu kote and keep her seperate for a while

Invisible bandage is nice too. We had some in our firstaid kit and put it on 2 hens who were attacked by dogs and had missing skin on their necks. Both are alive and well over a month later.

You should be able to get Blu Kote at your local feed supply store. It can be used on a variety of animals, but it's most useful with chickens because it helps to disguise the wound as well as disinfects. I always keep some on hand.
