I’ve got a hen who seems to have injured hocks. She cannot walk but a few steps and balances herself with a wing. the roosters have piled on her multi able times the past month which I think contributed to her injury. I’ve kept her separated in her own large area of the coop along with a older hen that also gets jumped on by the young roosters. They are happier but she has not made any recovery. Suggestions? I have about 7 roosters to 20 hens. Only three hens are young.

Before I say anything I want you to know I’m not trying to be mean, Im only trying to help you. First things first, unfortunately you have way too many roosters, and if most of your hens are older, that’s bound to lead to injuries. Second, can you get some pictures of the hen? Can you feel her legs for
any heat or swelling. Is a vet an option?

How old is she? I agree, it would be good to know how many hens and roosters, or the ratio. She might have a back injury, or it could be something causing pressure on her leg nerves ( tumor, internal egg masses,) or even something like Mareks. Have you added any new birds to your flock in recent months? Clean her sore hocks with saline or chlorhexidene, and apply some antibiotic ointment. I would separate her with food and water, and possible try a chicken sling to get her up and off her hocks. Here are some examples:
