Injured leg update

Hi all
I am new to chickens, I got these girls last Nov. so she is about 6 months old.

Somehow it appears she hurt her leg. she cant walk or stand on it. When she trys, she comes close to falling over.

I need some advise as to what to do. Should I separate her from the other girls? They do not seem to be picking on her right now,
or should I just wait and see if she get better without my help

If there's no scab, it's possible she might have jumped down off a high roost or something like that and sprained or pulled a ligament/tendon in her leg. If this is the case, you should seperate her and put her in a cage or crate and let her have plenty of rest and relaxation. You dont want her trying to walk around on her bad leg aggravating the injury. Resting it gives time for the injury to heal. While she's caged, make sure she has her feed and freshwater. You can purchase vitamin B complex tablets at a pharmacy, crush one into a powder and sprinkle the powder on her feed. The vitamin B complex may help the wound heal quicker. Continue this for about a week and see if there's improvement. These type of injuries take time to heal. I've dealt with them and sometimes it takes only a few days, or never. I had one hen in which her leg injury never healed, but hobbled around on one leg...she managed just fine and also laid eggs. However, I had to keep her permanently seperated from the others, they relentlessly tried to fight her. Good luck.

No dark round scab. or anything that does not look right.
her only roost is about 2 feet high --I guess she could have landed wrong.

I have a cat carrier and a dog crate, about 2 x 3 feet do you think the cat carrier is to small---and if so is the crate to big?

I lowered their roosts down to about 6 inches above the floor back in January, so far so good with no problems.

Did you watch my video about my bantam listed in this forum? Watch and see if yours is having symptoms like mine. I thought it was his foot, but it was something neurological. Hope yours is just a foot or leg....

I watched it.
My girl jst lays down. when she tryes to get up, it seems she has no strengh in her legs.
she cannot walk at all. kinda scoots with her wings.
I would take a veido, but following advice, she is in a dog crate---- err hosipital room.

After a week in a dog crate, she seems to be a little better--or she is learning to get around better. I put her in the run for a few minutes yesterday. She seems to be walking on her toes. It looks like she cant bend her ankel. Her toes point straight out from her leg. I did a quick search on here but did not find anything about this. I am not sure she is injured or if there is something worse wrong with her. This seemed to happen overnight-- one day walking fine , the next she cant walk at all.

Anybody got any ideas what could be wrong with her?
