I had banded one of my Silkies. I noticed she was limping. The band, which was like a zip tie, had embedded into the skin. We managed to cut the band but there is a very deep ridge where the band was embedded and there is a bad smell like it is infected. Should I soak it in something? Should I give an antibiotic? My vet is on vacation and I really don't want to bother her.

I had the same thing happen to some of my chickens. I hit it with peroxide and waved a magic wand over the hens. All went well. I try to avoid putting anything on them that they will eat. I am no vet, but it worked for me.

Can you post some photos?
Ideally if you can have the vet see it, that would be best.
Since you notice a foul odor, then it's probably infected.
You can try soaking in Chlorhexidin (Novalsan), epsom salts or dilute betadine to help clean the wound.
Without seeing it, it's hard to know, the wound may need to be debrided or have pus removed.
Antibiotics may be in order, but usually a wound needs to be cleaned out on a chicken for medication to be effective.

If you have any other birds that are banded, it would be a good idea to check them to make sure that the band moves freely on their legs.

Most local feed stores still carry some injectible antibiotics like Penicillin.

fwiw - If you do use Peroxide to clean the wound, use it only once. Repeated use of Peroxide can be damaging to surrounding tissue which will delay healing.

thank you for response. My vet is back so I am going to contact her. She is actually walking better today but it still licks bad to me
