Hi

We hope someone can help us before having to go to vets. They have already advised concussion before seeing her but can't be certain. One of our Pekin ducks Araura has had a small wooden barrier fall on her due to winds knocking unstable whilst out.

When we got home she was laid on her back and couldn't get up but had moved from the site it seemed to have fallen. She doesn't seem in pain. She will try to stand but just falls straight back over to one side. She also falls on her back and cant get back over.
She is an outside duck but we bathed her last night and let her rest inside in a box in dim light.
There's no sign of a break I've checked the wings legs and feet which all seem to be fine with no distress when moving.
So top and bottom, she's injured, can't stand and falls on her back and cant right herself.

Anyone that could help?

Thanks all for getting back to us. It's really appreciate.

We got to the emergency on call vet.
Nothing is broken and the fence had nothing to do with it apparently. It just seems coincidence. She is large for her age at 3months and her legs have given way. So unfortunately we have now a disabled ducky. He said there's a 30% chance she will walk again and has a course of antibiotics and something to stimulate her legs. Fingers crossed to her recovery.

Thanks again guys

Oh could also pick up some liquid b complex it’s great for helping with leg weakness. 1 ml daily over dried meal worms thawed peas something yummy. Is she a jumbo Pekin? This is from TSC and it will say injectable but peel off the foil and use a syringe with out a needle or dropper to get it out.

Thank you!
I think this is similar to what the vet has given us. Just hoping she doesn't just give up! I don't think she's classed as a jumbo. However she's always been bigger than the other two so maybe just that bit bigger? I'm not sure.
