I'm trying to help my neighbor's pullet who was somehow injured. They said it started as a laceration and had been using Blu-kote and utter balm for a week before contacting me. They said that the other hens were picking at it.

I brought her to my house and have been bandaging it with antibiotics and antimicrobial cream. The area is hardening around the wound and no sign of improvement. She is eating and drinking . She acts like there's no pain too. Any ideas where I should do?

Wound will from the outside working inwards. Healing tissue is around the wound. Keep applying antibiotic ointment and keep the flies away from her. I would stop bandaging it. These wounds heal, but it is a slow process.
Thank you.
