Injured roo ripped out tail feathers

Finally found out what was happening to my roo because he had a bloody tail again. I know no one picks on him so I ruled that out. I went into coop where they sleep and noticed some brushed blood on the ceiling. That night I went and checked and sure enough he was sleeping on the highest roost that I had made for smaller hens and he was up there. That morning when I went to let them out I saw him jump from there and brushed his feathers against the ceiling. My solution, lowered the roost so it's no longer close to the ceiling. Even though there were much lower roosts, he preferred the highest one. Now his broken feathers are healing again and hope this won't happen anymore.
