I have a roo that was attacked by something...a hawk I guess. His feathers were a little ratty and he had about 5 tiny spots of blood on his back where it looked like maybe it was puntured but he was fine. Well that was a few weeks ago and the other day I noticed that the feathers seem to be raised on one of those spots. I tried to catch him to see if maybe he had an abcess under but he won't let me touch him. Well the past two days, he won't eat with the girls and stays under the deck for the most part except to watch the girls eat from a distance. He also sleeps under the deck at night. Now...the girls just started laying 2 days ago under the deck (which is a pain) so I don't know if he's sick from the injury or he's protecting the eggs or something. I'm going with injured unless you guys tell me otherwise. And if so, what antibiotic should I use and where do I get it? Preferrably a non injectible one since I can't catch him. also I have leftover Biaxin, cipro and azithromyacin...can I just give them some of that and how much. Thanks!
