The only time I ever got to see those guys sleep was inside the brooder in my living room while they were under the red heat lamp. And then of course they would stretch completely flat and looked dead when they slept LOL!

Birds need to be relaxed around you to continue sleeping. Birds above were roosting on front porch where I would pass multiple times each night.

That makes sense. And it doesn't help that I have to unlock the gate to get in there and unlock the door to open it - I'm sure I make alot of noise doing that and my Foghorn is a great rooster!
