Chirping
I went out today about an hour ago to the change water and my rooster had himself wedged in behind the waterer head down. I don't know how long he was like that but when I pulled him out the other rooster went at him and he jumped back in his hiding spot. When I pulled him out again his comb is all bloody and all his neck feathers have been pulled out. I think he has some injury around his vent too presumably when they couldn't get at his head they went for his exposed back end. I've separated him and stopped the bleeding on his comb with some cornstarch. He's drinking a lot of water with vitamins in it. I'm just wondering if I should wait until he's less shocked to clean him off really well or if it would be better to get it done now. Its pretty cold here and I don't know if I should risk him getting chilled. I will be keeping him in the house until he's healed all the way.
