Not sure how it happened, we were outside this morning, my son went to pick her up and she wiggled out of his grip, that’s when we think she got injured. What should we do for our sweet girl, help please!

I thought may be broken too. There is an avian vet takes care of my parrot, I’ll have to see if she will look at a duck too. Are there specialty poultry vets I should look for in my area?

Most Avian vets will do poultry, but you may call first. Keep us updated!

I was able to bring her in to my avian vet. No break or fracture, but the joint is luxated, was the term she used. She did her best to straighten it out, but it’s still a little crooked. She didn’t think it needed to be splinted, and that it will heal on its own. I have pain and inflammation medicine to give her orally. And vet said to hold on ice on her foot tonight if she’ll let me. Oh, and she is putting weight on her foot now and using it some.
