Hello everyone! Some of you may have seen previous posts of mine about my baby we just got yesterday. He/she was doing great when first brought home, then last night (roughly 5-6 hours after first coming home) we noticed that it was favoring one leg and only using one and wouldn't but the right one down, stretched out, anything at all. It can't walk, it stumbles and rolls, it is still eating/drinking just difficult for her to get to the feeders. I worked today until this afternoon, hubby and kids were home and basically left her be so we didn't annoy her or hurt her accidentally, so when I got her out I noticed the hock is now definitely inflamed, swollen, bruised, and looks like there's a wound on the outside which is very different from yesterday. It was only swollen yesterday. I'm adding photos hoping someone can identify the injury and have suggestions on how to help her or cure it. Whatever I can do to make her as comfortable as possible and hopefully get her back up and on it walking!! Thanks so much for reading and any help offered is grateful appreciated!

Looks like a slipped tendon. Do a search in the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures forum for slipped tendon. The treatment is the same for poults as it is for chicks.
