one of our Drake’s is limping and is foot is torn up. We have him isolated in the house, he’s floating in the tub now. We cleaned and covered the cuts with a salve. Should we be doing more? Even when swimming he’s not using it.

I am not sure if that happens to be the salve, but if it isn't the salve in the picture (that big bulb coming out of the leg), the cut looks infected. If you have some antibiotic cream, put that on it, and wrap it in a bandage. I would bring him to the vet, because it seems serious if he isn't using while he is swimming, but you can wait this injury out at your own risk. Just keep a close eye on it. If it somehow gets worse, bring him to a vet.

We looked at it better this morning, it is swollen, but don’t see any green pus.

Ok we got it cleaned up and the blue kote, wow is it bright, but how can we keep checking it. It’s just really swollen but not hot.

I read somewhere on here that infection in ducks can look quite different. And that it isn't normally pus like. And I agree with Natalie. It could just be the picture and if it's wet, but it does look infected. With him not wanting to put any weight on it also makes me think it's infected. I would bandage it with antibiotic ointment and if it doesn't start looking better, I'd look for the nearest vet. If there isn't a vet, I'd go to your feed store or tractor supply where they have various kinds of antibiotics. The sprays are good also if you think it will pick at a bandage. Epsom salt baths like chickens really said are also a good idea. So hopefully one or a variety of these suggestions will get the little darling to feeling better.
