Injury or bug's??

I'm not sure if this little one is getting picked on or if it has mites or some kind of bug? The other 5 chicks all look normal. I first noticed it because she was the only one sleeping and when her eye is closed it almost looked like it was missing.

I can try that. It didn't really look like anything was on it but looked more swollen and missing fuzz but I was also super surprised by it.

How does it look today?

Do you have vetricyn? You could dip a q tip in it, and rub around her eye, see if that takes the swelling down.

Also I would do a dose of nutri drench mixed with water and maple syrup. I had a tired looking chick after a long hatch, he perked up after a day of nutri with water and maple syrup. The water was a really dark color. Make it a good dose.

It looks the same today. I only have chlorhexidine and I wasn't sure if I could put that around an eye. I can try to pick up what you mentioned today.

If you have maple syrup, or honey or molasses or brown sugar, you can mix it into the water for an energy and vitamin boost.
