I have a Black Australorp who is about 6 months old. Today I noticed one of her eyes looked weird and she was squinting a bit more. Her other eye looks normal. Besides her eye, she looks normal and healthy. She is not acting any differently besides the squinting. I'm thinking maybe she injured her third eyelid (Nictitating Membrane) but am not sure how. Has anyone experienced this before?

We have 3 other hens the same age. I don't think she is being picked on-- if anything, she is the highest in the pecking order. All of the other birds' eyes look good.

I was considering flushing her eye out with saline and then applying something like Terramycin based on what I've been reading so far.

We use pine shavings in the coop and they free range.

Greatly appreciate any advice!

You could be right about an injury. The saline rinse and Terramycin eye ointment is exactly what I would do. I buy Bausch and Lomb advanced Eye Relief Eye Wash for flushing eyes. It is about $4-5 at Walmart and pharmacies. A vet might be of help.
