Insane Mandarins!!!!!!!

I just picked up a pair of younger Mandarins.

ARE THEY ALWAYS FREAKING OUT.

These 2 ducks need to be put on prozac or something. I have not turned them out with the others yet, so I still have them in a wire cage in the shed trying to get them to calm down. Everytime I walk into the shed the try to jump through the cage roof, fly through the side. They hang on with there feet and flap flap flap. Last night they even caused blood on thereself.

How to calm these freaks down

Manadarins are a wild duck and not a domestic. If you turn them out (like into open pastures) you can kiss them goodbye. They will fly off.
They need at least a 10x10 covered avairy with a water source.

I clipped there wings so I guess I will put them out with all the other chickens and ducks. They will be in a fenced in area, it just doesn't have a roof.

They need to be in an enclosed aviary for their safety and protection. They will never be calm like domestic ducks and when they molt they will regrow the flight feathers and be gone. Housing them with chickens is not a good idea, they different dietary needs and housing needs as well.
