Hi! Welcome to BYC! What I wish I had known before getting chicks is similar to your dilemma. The coop. I wish I had built bigger and stronger from the beginning. Five coops down the road I finally have an 8x10 walk in coop with a completely secure outdoor section that is 10x12. That is big enough for 20 chickens.
