Inserting dog poop around perimeter of coop for predator prevention.

I have this thought, of putting dog poop around the coop perimeter. I have 4 dogs of my own, landlord has 3 big dogs, so no shortage of dog poop. Has anyone tried this?

You ever seen your dog home in on, find, stop and explore something else's poop? Predators will do the same.

I think you should dispose of the dog poo as you normally would.
Spend some time on tightening up your coop/run security.

I'm not sure it would work. I have a dog and it doesn't keep the foxes from taking a dump right on my driveway, right next to the part of the yard where my dog normally does her business.

However, I am sure your idea would be stinky and not a fun chore. I personally don't think it would be worth the effort.

Doesn't work. I don't do it on purpose, but because I shovel and fling dog dookie over my fence into the woods between my driveway and chicken run I can tell you that in terms of predator prevention, it won't do crap....

Thanks! I actually think it is quite funny that the wildlife center was actually able to sell coyote poop for $25 a bag. Not sure if we were the only ones who fell for it.
