Inside chicks. How often do you let them out of brooder?

Baby roo?

That was my first thought. If so I hope it is the only roo. I wouldn't mind one but I think the neighbors would be a little annoyed if my whole flock turned out to be roos!

Yep, I hold mine every day if I can, and treats make them come running to you. I cant even open the brooder now without getting mobbed! They are 4 wks and when I open the door, they all start flying out.

My DH would never let me bring them in the kitchen to just walk around. I cant even rinse out their water bowl in the sink. I have to do it outside. He likes the girls dont get me wrong but he just thinks they are "nasty". I disagree, oh well.

They have only been outside 2 times since we had them. I dont really have a secure place for them to wander in so when I take the slide pan out of the brooder once a week to clean it, I put the brooder out on the grass for them to peck and play.

Cute chicks! I keep a roll of toilet paper in the kitchen for their poo and clean immediatly. Once back in their brooder, I quick spray the floor with Lysol. Hubby brought home 3 of the chicks and our coop isn't even started. We keep them downstairs.
