I gathered the first egg Fri. and the 2nd one today. They both came from the same Olive Egger. The first egg had NO shell at all!! The 2nd egg has a shell but it's inside the "skin". What in the world causes that?? lol

This is completely normal as it's just a new hen trying to work out how to use her parts. She should quit laying these odd eggs soon.

Cool! I've never seen an inside-out egg before. As Brahmabreeder said, totally normal. She's just working out the kinks.

I haven't noticed one breed be worse than other. Sometimes birds will lay none of these in their whole life and other times you will get a pullet who wants to lay a number of odd eggs before they start laying normal eggs.

She's been laying for 6 months or more. I think she's been broody cuz she wants to stay in the nest so much. She's running around fine today but I'm gonna keep an eye on her.. The other OE I have hatched 11 eggs a few weeks ago.
