There's nothing common about that coop at all.

Thanks for sharing that pic.
We have wood shakes on both of our coops, we think it keeps the coop cooler than asphalt shingles or metal. However, they are expensive and may have to be special ordered unless you go to a roofing supply company.
Love that Frank Lloyd Wright quote too.
