Installing new door knobs/locks & dead bolts

How hard is it really?
I’ve been “afraid” to try and do of myself. Last time I tried, years ago, I couldn’t get the old knob hardware removed and took a hammer to it smash smash. Still couldn’t get it out.
My front door knob is so dangerous. I can’t even lock it because if I do, I’ll be locked in the house and I feel like it’s a life hazard to not be able to escape.
My husband bought new knobs and deadbolts, but he’s been too busy to install them and he’s not the greatest dad either( sorry hun)
So I’m toying with the idea of trying…

They're not hard, you can do it!
If you take a picture of your current setup from the inside, maybe someone will know how to help get it off by taking a look.

Its pretty easy. If the doorknob doesn't have visible screws there are tabs on the circular plate that runs parallel to the door you pop off with a small flathead. It takes about 10 minutes to swap out a doorknob or deadbolt.
