So my almost complete coop has LP SmartSide siding on the outside. I have lots of plywood from another project.
I am thinking about adding foam board insulation and then covering the interior with plywood.
Ventilation isn’t an issue. I have a window on both side (away from the roost bar) as well as an exhaust fan with an automatic switch.
1) is insulation helpful in southern Ontario?
2) does it help in summer? The coop is intentionally placed under the tree canopy because summers can get hot
3) is R-3sh good or should I go more?
4) the coop sits 18” above ground. Should insulate the floor?
5) should I insulate the ceiling?
