have two chicken tractors , 2/3 is run covered with tarp for protection of sun/ rain, 1/3 is wood enclosed for egg laying and roosting..how best to insulate gor cold w I nter nights/days?

You are in Arkansas? You really don't have tough winters. You shouldn't need any insulation and most assuredly, no supplemental heat. The best thing for the birds is DRY and well ventilated roosting area.
