Hey, y'all!

This weekend (Sept 14), we will be driving to pick up our first trio of Black Australorps - two hens and a rooster. They are five months old.

Next weekend (Sept 21), we will be driving to pick up our second quartet of BAs - all four are hens. They are three months old.

What is the best way to integrate birds that are relatively close in age? :)

Thanks!

Probabl to turn them all loose in as large an area as you can, provide at least two different food/water stations and some distractions like a hanging cabbage, a flock block, some items to jump on or hide in, etc.

You can also set them all on the roost after dark and hope the recognize each other by morning.

Chances are there will be some noise and pecking for a few days, then all will settle down. Good luck!
