I have a 6 month old cockerel I am integrating into an existing cockerel flock of 2 four month olds and 2 three and a half month olds. I am at the stage of integration where they are separated only by fence (since last Saturday). The top cockerel in the cockerel flock likes to fight with him through the fence (he is the only one that does). This Saturday the top cockerel is going to a new home; not because of the fighting, he's a breeding cull. This Saturday is also when I was going to let the cockerel I am integrating in with the existing flock to mingle. With the existing flock needing to reset their pecking order, would this be a good time to put in the other cockerel, or a bad time? I could see it going either way.
