Integrating ducks help! Younger vs almost year old.

Ok I need some advice on how to integrate my older ducks w my younger ones. The younger ones actually chase off my oldest hen. (They’ll chase off the Drake too.)

The older ones are scared of them.

We’ve put them in the same pen & removed the geese from the ducklings as they all seem to think they’re a unit.

But they’re staying in their segregated corners.

With the exception of the Drake who is in solitary confinement due to him attacking and mounting the ducklings- if he doesn’t run from them. Which makes no sense. He will run from them, be scared. Then come back and he’s trying his mating crap.

I’m assuming the spring hormones is causing the Drake to act up. (He’s challenging my hubby too. Comes charging at him, circles his feet, bites at his shoes, when he will go to leave the coop or pen, the duck will act like he’s chased him out. Lol)

You can see from the photo that’s about as close as the hen will get & the leader of the ducklings will start opening its mouth to warn her away.

Any advice??View attachment 3445044
Awe she’s beautiful she looks like one of my hens did when I got her (her name is julie, and she’s super white now.
As for integrating ducks they seem to either take to eachother right away or they get along some times and don’t at others. I have some that are almost 2 and some that are 1 and I joined them once it started getting cooler out because they had to share a house, hated eachother at first, then shared the house all winter got along and hung out together and now that it’s spring they hate eachother again. If they have a big enough area they will just keep to themselves for the most part. Just keep an eye on the drake

Yeah what is with them being chocolate and molting then turning white! Lol

So far they’re being housed together at night and getting along okay. Drake is in solitary confinement till he learns to control his urges. Lol (till they’re older and will have integrate him. They hate him currently. He’s assaulted one or two. Before we snatched him.)

my 4 ducknagers (9 week old females) were trying to run everyone off until they got hen pecked. literally. so now they respect the chickens. But they were still chasing all the old lady ducks around and then one of the old ladies had enough and there was a scuffle, the old duck won.! But there's gonna have to be several more scuffles before they figure out the new duckyard order. Ive been trying to get it on video . as long as I dont see any blood I let them do their thing. and ducknagers sleep in a xl dog crate inside the coop.

My ducks rule the yard. Always have. lol Apparently in the hierarchy of birds, ducks out rank chickens.
Now...lol we have one cuckoo maran, she is like the pitbull of the yard. She's lowest on the pecking order via chickens, but omgosh she will try to guard & attack our cats, she's now attacked the geese. lol I can't remember if she's went after the ducknagers. lol Don't think so.
Yeah, sometimes you can't intervene. Can't always be out there with them either. lol
