Integrating injured hen

Hi Everyone. I had an injured hen (neck injury) awhile back and thanks for all of the great advice. Well she is scratching and eating on her own and when they are all out in the yard she has been mingling back in with the other girls. Every now and again they do get to a peck here and there. I was wondering if this should be a gradual 2-3 weeks or just put them all back together. Ohh..she was taken away from everyone else for about 3 weeks due to injury and I have had her in the house. She has been grazing with them for about 1 week now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

maybe there is something you can put on it to stop them from pecking?

She's lowest in the pecking order now, most likely, so a peck now and then will happen. If there is no injury, I would let them sort it out. Do the others go in the coop at night on their own? What does she do when they go in?

You can probably let them be together again by now.

Thanks Dawn,

Gracie spent her first night with the rest of the gals last night and all is well. I watched to see if they all went in the house on there own and they did! So...I closed them up and they all came out this morning. I have been watching them and all seems well. A peck, peck here and a peck, peck there! You are right, they will work it out. My fears are relieved! Such a worry wart I am.
